Minnekhada Park Association and Metro Vancouver both encourage our park visitors to use the iNaturalist app on their devices.
What does it do?
iNaturalist allows you to take photos of plants or animals and helps to identify the species. It logs all of this information based on your location and adds it to an ever growing database of species sightings.
How does it work?
Why is this important?
The data can be used to help scientists and resource managers understand when and where organisms occur.
How do I get it?
Just look for for the free iNaturalist app in the AppStore (Apple) or Google Play (Android) and be sure to use iNaturalist when you visit Minnekhada Regional Park.
